FMC are delighted to announce their next fashion journalism course, which will take place at Bewleys hotel in Dublin on Saturday the 31st of January 2009.
This intensive one day course will teach you how to break into the exciting world of fashion journalism.
If you want to know how to write a catwalk report, co ordinate a fashion shoot or learn to write fashion news. Or if you dream of working on a fashion magazine - then this is the course for you.
Throughout the day, you will investigate news writing, styling, interviewing, feature writing, catwalk and trend reporting.
And - some of the biggest names in fashion media will be hand to share their secrets, helping to bring your career to the next level.

Course Facilitator - Georgina Heffernan
Georgina Heffernan previously worked as fashion editor for U magazine and deputy editor for Irish Tatler.This led to close contact with fashion giants Diane von Furstenberg, Matthew Williamson, Lulu Guinness , John Rocha and Kate Moss – to name but a few.
She became Style Editor of the top-selling Irish Daily Mail in 2004 .Over four years she wrote many lead feature and fashion stories for The Mail. She has worked on advertising campaigns for Nike and Lee jeans, as well as styling Vogue cover girl Kiera Gormley and pop star Macy Grey.

Annmarie O'Connor.
Annmarie O'Connor is a freelance fashion writer, blogger and personal stylist. Her credits include The Irish Examiner, Elle, Dazed and Confused, Image, Trace, IF, The Irish Independent, Chictoday.com and iVenus.com. Over the past 8 years she has interviewed the likes of Terry de Havilland, Zandra Rhodes and Ben de Lisi, and has gained a cult following with her blog: I Blog Fashion, which is being made into a book. |

Roxanne Parker:
Roxanne is one of Ireland's hottest young fashion talents, styling magazine editorials for the likes of Prudence, Irish Tatler, U Magazine, Image, Confetti and The Irish Independent. As features writer for The Independent, she travelled to Russia, New York, Greece, London and L.A, covering a broad range of feature topics for the magazine. |

Patrice Harrington
Patrice Harrington is a senior features writer for the Daily Mail newspaper. After graduating with a Degree in Journalism from Dublin City University, she worked for the Irish Examiner and Ireland on Sunday (now Irish Mail on Sunday) before moving to Barcelona for three years. There she learned Spanish, worked part-time for a couple of local fashion designers and freelanced for a wide variety of publications in Spain, London and Dublin, including The Irish Times, Image magazine and the Daily Mail.
She has interviewed literally hundreds of people from all walks of life - politics, TV, film, fashion. Among the Irish designers she has interviewed are Pauric Sweeney, Peter O'Brien, Richard Lewis and Eileen Shields.
